Bronnie Lennox Thompson works as the Programme Director for Postgraduate Programmes in Pain & Pain Management, Orthopaedic Surgery & Musculoskeletal Medicine, University of Otago, Christchurch. She holds a clinical degree in occupational therapy, a Master of Health Science in psychology, and a PhD. Her clinical experience has been mainly in musculoskeletal pain, from prevention to chronic pain rehabilitation, and has also involved policy development.
Bronnie has been an active blogger for the past 12 years, and is engaged in moderating the Exploring Pain group on Facebook. She is passionate about respect for people living with pain, helping people develop resilience, and for clinicians to show compassion and honesty in their work with people who live with persistent pain.
